Energy calculator for USDT transfers

Find out how much energy it takes to send USDT to a specific address. Paste the recipient address on the TRON network.

A TRON network address, 34 characters. The check starts by itself.

Try an example:

Why two different numbers

65 000

There is USDT on the address

A transfer takes about 65,000 energy.

131 000

There is no USDT on the address

A transfer takes about 131,000 energy, twice as much.

How does it work?

Every USDT TRC-20 transfer uses TRON network energy. How much depends on whether the recipient already holds USDT.

If the recipient already has USDT, about 65,000 energy is needed. If not, about 131,000: a new storage slot is created in the smart contract.

Without energy the network burns TRX at the current rate. Renting energy is significantly cheaper.

FAQ

Why does the energy amount differ?

Writing a new entry to contract storage costs more than updating an existing one, so the first USDT transfer to an empty address costs about twice as much.

Are the numbers exact?

They are typical values for the USDT contract. The real use can differ slightly because of dynamic energy on the network. The recipient balance is read straight from the blockchain.

Do you see my funds or keys?

No. The check only reads the public balance of the address. Nothing needs to be signed.
